Benefits of the PEARL Tire Protection Plan

Tire Repair

Our members are reimbursed for expenses incurred for the repair of flat tires up to $35 per event.

Tire Replacement

PEARL members are reimbursed for the cost of a replacement tire if the tire becomes irreparable due to impact breaks, cuts, punctures, or other road hazards up to a maximum of $200 per tire.

Covered Road Hazards

A road hazard is defined as objects and road conditions such as potholes, rocks, nails, glass, wood debris, metal parts, plastic or composite debris, or any element causing damage to tires other than wear.

Uncovered Road Hazards

Objects or conditions in a designated construction site, such as uneven lanes due to repaving or metal plates temporarily covering a hole in the road.

Who is covered by the PEARL tire protection plan ?

Any driver with a valid driver’s license who is driving the vehicle insured with PEARL.

What expenses are covered under the PEARL tire protection plan?

We reimburse the costs of repair, or if they are not repairable, the costs of replacing damaged tires on the covered vehicle.

What types of damages does the PEARL tire protection plan cover?

Damages must be caused by a road hazard on a public roadway. A road hazard is defined as objects and road conditions such as potholes, rocks, glass, nails, wood debris, metal parts, plastic, composites, or any element causing damage to tires other than wear.

What are the conditions for activating the tire protection plan?

Certain criteria must be met to benefit from PEARL’s assistance:

  • The PEARL member must be present with the vehicle (except for exceptions related to safety reasons)
  • The vehicle must not be involved in theft or vandalism
  • The vehicle must not have expired safety control, license plate, and/or emission sticker
  • The incident location is safe and on normally traveled roads
  • In the case of tire replacement, it must have more than 3/32″ of remaining tread depth

What is not included in the PEARL tire protection plan?

The coverage covers the cost of repairing or replacing the damaged tire. However, it does not cover labor costs, mounting, balancing, axles, shop supplies, additional parts, or miscellaneous fees.
Additionally, aesthetic damage to the tire is not covered. Customers must obtain prior authorization to replace a tire by calling 855-621-4486.

What are the maximum reimbursement or coverage amounts?

Under the tire protection plan, PEARL subscribers will receive reimbursement against road hazards for eligible expenses incurred up to a maximum of $200.00 for replacement, or $35.00 for repair.

How often can I request compensation for a tire puncture?

Each reimbursement, for repair or replacement, is limited to 1 claim per customer vehicle and per membership year.
